The Trip
So I suck at packing. Tremendously. 6am flight, it's now 1:15am and I'm still not done packing. I have to leave around 3:30am, sigh. Instead, I'm telling you that I'm going to visit family in LA for a week. My aunt and cousin Lulu will take my family and I to Grand Canyon and Las Vegas for fun (both my first time), so hopefully I'll get some good photos. I won't be back until the 6th of 2009, so a preemptive HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!!~
In other news, I've picked up a Sigma 15mm EX DG Diagonal Fisheye the other day as a "fun" lens. I also exchanged my new Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM for the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM instead. The 24L2 is an amazing lens and I love it, but it's not meeting my needs other than the fantastic bokeh. I need a wide angle for *scape shots and at the table shots. The 24 wasn't quite as wide as I'd like to for *scapes and was too wide for table food/people shots. I'm starting to shoot food at f/2+ now anyway so the loss of aperture isn't really a big deal, if I wanted bokeh I can just turn to the godly Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM (affectionately named Spike).
I also wanted to return the Sigma 15EX fisheye since the EF16-35L2 covers the wide angle, but it's just too much fun for the price. I'm keeping it! Anyway, enough rambling camera porn. I need to finish up packing. See you guys in a week! PREPARE FOR MASSIVE INFLUX OF PHOTOS!

New Video Clip
Got a new video clip of a hang player playing his hang drum at Union Square's Christmas Fair. You can check it out at the video gallery or go directly to my vimeo for the 720p HD version. If you can't load all that, you can check out the crappy SD version on my Flickr.

Site Health
Well then... After some tireless fiddling, I finally got the site to look something decent. I knew from the start that I didn't want anything too complicated. I learned this from way back when I first got into web design. I got all enthusiastic and started messing with ASP and all that database junk. Got me nothing but headaches, I made one site out of all that info. Although I was quote proud of that, it wasn't really worth the time and effort to continue it.
This time around I just want something to show my work and talk about random junk.
